One of the coolest things about being a photographer is seeing relationships and families grow. I have known Chris for many years and was introduced to Karn a couple years ago. I was very excited when I was asked to photograph their engagement and wedding ( Have a look back at Karn and Chris’s wedding HERE ) but I was OVER the top when they told me their big news asked to document the next stage in their relationship. As you can probably tell, by the photo below, Karn and Chris are expecting their first child in August. I have gotten to know this amazing couple very well over the last year and I can say with 100% certainty, Karn and Chris are going to be INCREDIBLE parents. I am really looking forward to meeting this little guy…… and I keep telling them that “John” is a great name for a baby boy

Baby Bumps and Maternity Photographers in Guelph

Being a Dad and Husband, in my opinion, is by far the coolest thing ever. So when couples call me to photograph their “first” family portrait or Maternity photos I get really excited. This session was no different.Cam and Jessica are expecting their first baby in a couple weeks. Hanging out with both of them in the studio I can see and feel their excitement. I met this lovely couple at a wedding I photographed last year, Jessica was in the wedding party and well Cam was there just to have fun.

Cam and Jessica are doing our “Babies First Year” program and it all starts with the Maternity Session. This image below was one of my favorites from the session and will be hung as a beautiful custom framed print in their babies room. Thank you Jessica and Cam for a fun session and I am really looking forward to meeting your newest member of the family in the next few weeks

Here is what Cam and Jessica had to say about their Maternity Session.

“I was on the fence about getting maternity photos so we ended up doing them fairly late in my pregnancy (about 36 weeks or so). I am so glad I did!! And I am so glad we went with John Wills Photography!! John was super accommodating with schedule and was excellent in studio to make sure I was comfortable. And most importantly, he got some amazing shots of myself and my husband (and our soon to be plus one)!

John was great at taking our ideas, injecting some of his amazing creative and photographic genius, and coming up with some phenomenal photos. Some were tender, some were dramatic, and some were just plain fun. It did not take long for myself and my husband to become comfortable in studio, which makes the photos that much more incredible.I would recommend John to anyone wishing to do maternity photos. We are so happy that we are getting a large print to put in the babies room! It will be a great memory of this amazing time in our lives.”

” I agreed to do a maternaty shoot for one reason. I wanted an image of my wife as a beautiful mother expecting. Not only did our experience with this photo-shoot produce that, I also left with a sense of family and what the future will bring. The shots we took of Jess and I together are some the of best in the group and I look forward to the day when our baby grows up and is able to see how much his mother and father love him and each other. Thank-you for showing us how we can communicate that idea to our son through photography. We look forward to future projects together.”

Maternity Photographers in Guelph Kitchener and Waterloo

For me…..as a photographer, one of the coolest things is watching a family grow from the beginning. Photographing engagement photos, then the wedding day and a year or two later the maternity and baby photos….. it doesn’t get any better than that. So when a past wedding client calls and tells me they are expecting…… it puts a HUGE smile on my face. Here is an image from Alina’s maternity session…. I can’t wait to see this family grow in a couple weeks.

Beautiful Belly Photos

I had the great pleasure in photographing Laura and her “Baby Bump” last night. Spending time with this lovely woman was an incredible way to spend a chilly fall evening

Laura is due in about a months time and as you can see by these photos she sure carries it well
