I nailed the bassoon solo for Scherhrezade – I play bassoon for Burlington Concert Band… concert Feb 13/17. First practise on the part, I felt intimidated. I didn’t know how fast the conductor was taking it, how the music went, what mood the music was portraying, how the notes could be made into music (something pleasing). Practicing during the week & on weekends, listening to performances on U-Tube, and playing the solo over and over again – I’ve got it! Its a mournful, lone spirited part – in the high octave of the instrument. To be played piano (but powerfully) with feeling.
I have a 3 year old Guelph grandaughter who is princess and a fairy… she has a playful side & a mournful side. It would be so cool for you to capture her impish spirit through photography!

So delighted with my results! Thank you, thank you John Wills. I went for my first head shot – as a grandmother of 4 – so just a little nervous about how it would turn out. I love the result and so do my friends. You were relaxed and positive, and made the whole experience a pleasure for me.

It was easy to work with John Wills to do our head shots. John is very professional and as you can see by his work he even made me look better. Thought he might be able to do something with the white hair but at least I match Dexter. Thanks John
