As most of you who know me…. know I am not the best at writing blogs. SO today I will just let my AMAZING client do all the writing

“As a mother of a young lady – the idea of “modelling portfolio” can seem a scary thought, however booking the session with John – it has been one of the most positive experiences I could recommend to anyone! not only do we have freaking awesome pictures capturing my daughter during this stage of her life,,, it provided a great boost of confidence for her! One of the most wonderful surprises is the amount of conversations my daughter and I have had since the photo shoot! what an awesome bonding experience. How many times I have heard my daughter say to me.. “big arse smile” – and then she laughs out loud! John it is because of your ability to connect with people – your personality – kindness – patience – that the experience was so spectacular! ( not to mention your kick butt talent of photography) This is one of those times, that we will forever have both in print and memory, time spent with my teenager that I will be forever grateful.. I encourage more parents to book a photo session with John… it was so cool… – I will not lie.. during the photo session – in the blink of an eye I started to cry – because I was able to see my daughter as yes my little girl, but to actually look at her and see past that.. that in fact she was growing into a young lady- and during the shoot I could see her confidence and courage come out…truly one of the best times as a mom.. This was one of the best gift ideas! forever grateful to John and his power behind the lens to capture such beautiful images for us to treasure!

Back to School

We had an amazing summer with our 9 month old son Austin. But reality came back today and bit us in the……..well you get the idea
My lovely wife Kim went back to teaching today, after being on maternity leave for about 10 months. It was a hard morning with a couple of tears from mommy and daddy but we got though it. Every Tuesday is now Daddy Day Care here. I have booked off every Tuesday for the entire school year so I can stay at home with our boy. So what did we do today…..well we took a couple photos for mommy and had this on the front door when she came home.

Engagement Photographers in Waterloo

Downtown Toronto was the scene of this crazy engagement session with Crystal – Lynne McGarr and Greg Heaslip. This fun couple wanted to go back to where they use to live and met for their photos. We did a lot of different places in a short time, trying to beat the heat. I think in totally we only actually shot for about 30 minutes….the rest was walking around their old neighbourhood. I think all three of us were glad to be back in the air conditioned car for the ride home. While walking around I did get a chance to learn some interesting things about Greg and Crystal (insert evil grin here)…… all I can say is their wedding day is going to be a total BLAST

Wedding Photographers in Kitchener Waterloo

Had the chance to spend some time with this lovely couple last night at the very beautiful

Hidden Acres Mennonite Camp just outside of New Hamburg, Ontario. We walked around this beautiful property getting to know one another and of course we also took a few photos :). I learned a great deal about this young couple….one is apparently the mosquitoes at Hidden Acres only bother photographers and Fiances as Kyle and I probably lost a pint of blood between the two of us and Tina was never bothered by them. I also learned that Kyle has an amazing sense of humor and kept me smiling and laughing all night long . We also talked about their special day and the people involved…and I have to say I am really looking forward to working with their wedding party…they sound like they will be a blast to hang out with. Tina Ashley and Kyle Wheaton are set to be married September 17, 2011, it is going to be an amazing day. Thank you Tina and Kyle for a great evening….I had a blast

Baby Photographers in Guelph

Actually took some time out my busy schedule today to take an image of our 3 month old son Austin. Also wanted to do it for Gramma and Grampa who are golfing in Florida for the winter and haven’t seen him in a few weeks:)
Being a full time photographer I sometimes find it hard to take images of my own family, on the few days I take off I usually don’t even want to look at a camera. But boy when you have a model as cute as this I guess maybe I should be taking more.

Every morning I wake feeling I am the luckiest man alive. I have an incredibly beautiful son (even though he doesn’t like sleeping), an amazing best friend/wife (even though she makes me change dirty diapers) and I get to photograph people like Emily Armstrong. Not sure if things could get any better.
One thing is for sure, I need to go to the liquor store today to replace all the wine that she drank during our shoot

Wedding Photographers in Guelph

Today I started to get my life back to normal (somewhat). Started editing images and re-booking clients for their Christmas sessions. Thanks to all my great clients for being so understanding during the last week. My wife and newborn son are coming home from the hospital tonight. I can’t wait. But I thought I would share an image from a recent wedding I shot. This is Jason and Joanna Dubecki, this couple could very well be superstar models….so beautiful.
