]]> Leanne Ferris wins The “2011 Wilfrid Laurier MBA Alumni Award for Community Leadership” Award.  How cool is that? 🙂
I was very fortunate to take some photos for this amazing woman this past weekend. I also got a chance to learn about a the great organization Leanne works for.

Leanne is the Executive Director for Medical Ministry Canada which is a a registered charitable organization in Canada.

In Leanne’s own words “MMI is committed to meet the need for medical care among the world’s poor with lasting solutions through excellence in medicine, patient care, and health education. We do this by mobilizing volunteers on one and two-week medical projects and by establishing and equipping permanent medical centers.”

MMI collects medical supplies and used eyeglasses for our international programs. Local volunteers sort donations at our Stoney Creek warehouse.

We need health care professionals of all types to volunteer on our medical projects. We run over 80 projects each year in approx. 25 countries.

One thing is for sure, I need to go to the liquor store today to replace all the wine that she drank during our shoot 🙂
