Novelist Headshots

“I am so very lucky to have incredible people cross my path each and every day.  One of those people that crossed my path was John Wills. John and I arranged to have a photo shoot because I have a book that is being published, and I needed a professional head shot.

As an emerging writer and creative person, I am transitioning from private to professional.  In other words, I am starting to share who I am and what I do. Part of that includes a new web site and a book.  I needed headshots. A friend of mine suggested John and I am glad that she did. The whole experience with John was brilliant.  From the first phone call to the quick delivery of my photos. The whole experience was very relaxed and fun. I think that is what sticks with me the most.  Like many people, I do not feel that comfortable in front of the camera (why I am a writer, not an actress), and yet John made it cozy and welcoming. The whole process was a collaboration and discussion, not mechanical and directive.  Through his manner and personality, John was able to draw out and capture who I am in photos. The finished photos he created I want to share with everyone, any chance I get because they are fun and they are truly me looking back at the world.  Thank you John, I can hardly wait to incorporate them onto my site and business cards, and of course my new book.”  –  JennyQ
